Visit to Bontoc and Banaue

We got up at 5 A.M and prepared to go to another place.

After we ate a cake simply, we took a Jeepney which goes to Bontoc at 6:30 A.M.

But, accident happened at road. Road was closed so Jeepney couldn't pass by.

First we thought if soil was removed by equipment, Jeepney could go to Bontoc.

But 30 minutes later, we realized a rock fell down at road.

Fortunately, Jeff asked a Jeepney driver whether we can cross by walk or not, we could cross this road.

We saw a bus which was rented by other group and we negotiated to the bus driver.

Finally, although we paid 40 pesos each, we could go to Bontoc at 8:30 A.M.

But our difficulty didn't end because all bus which went to Banaue already left.

We had to take a Jeepney which goes to Banaue but Jeepney driver said,

"I can't go if my passengers are below 20."

If you want to depart, you have to pay for the vacant seats."

We couldn't go so we waited for 2 hours and 30 minutes.

This is Bontoc Town Hall. Children were wearing traditional clothes at this place.

Every time we go to other countries, children are cute.

Fortunately, we could go to Banaue at 11:00 A.M.

Finally, we arrived in Banaue.

We reserved our lodging and our bus for tomorrow. This is a common when traveling.

After that, we found another group who wanted to go to Batad,

we hired a Jeepney and guide who knows about Batad which is near to Banaue.

We ate a lunch near our lodging. I ordered Adobo which is a common delicacy for Filipinos.

We finished our meal at 3:00 P.M.

I planned that we would look around rice terraces and the waterfalls which is in Bocos.

When I asked a native where waterfalls is, he said to me.

"Waterfalls is very far. You couldn't go this place."

So we decided we go to the viewpoint instead.

When we were going to the viewpoint, we saw an elementary school.

Banaue is a peaceful village. Just countryside, not a city.

We met old women who wore traditional clothes.

We could take a picture with them but they required us to pay.

We gave a little amount of money for them.

We went to Banaue museum, entrance fee was too expensive.

Even if the building had 1 floor, price is 50 pesos.
